The last couple of years have been the hardest of my life. I was diagnosed with a rare cancer - BIA-ALCL, caused by breast implants I'd had over a decade ago.

While I was preparing for biopsies and facing chemotherapy, Keith was diagnosed with liver cancer. He told me not to worry about him. Let's get you sorted first, he said. That was Keith. Always putting everyone else first.

Thankfully my cancer hadn't spread and I no longer needed chemotherapy. But Keith's journey was shorter, and he was brave and strong every step of the way. Then my father was diagnosed with lung cancer - and I lost him too, on Keith's birthday. Keith followed a week later.

I can't explain what 2024 and 2025 were. But I wouldn't have survived them without the people around me - friends and family who showed up in ways I'll never forget.
